AROUND THE GROUND

2018 CHFL Season - Round 6 v Carngham-Linton Wrap Up

After a week off we visit our neighbours and rivals Clunes and look forward to a competitive day of footy and netball.

Round six saw us face Carngham Linton. Our seniors played solid footy all day controlling the match throughout, Patrick Parr was strong up forward with 5 goals getting great support from Luke Prendergast (3 goals) Jarrod Fryar and Josh Milne were good contributors.

In the Reserves match, unavailability and injury are still taking its toll on the list. The guys got off to a good but were over run in the last quarter Brayden Slater played well getting good support from Stu Robinson and Jessie Eastwell hopefully the list is somewhat more settled this week.

The under 18s kept their season on track with a close win having dominated the early parts of the match  Devon Orr and Jack Sampi were strong contributors getting good support from Byron Wynd and Jed Cargeeg. The U15s got themselves back on the winners list with a well-deserved win.  Dan Mizzeni, Wil Lund & Patty Labbett worked tirelessly The U12s were impressive with all players working extremely hard Brodie Murnane, Will Ralston and Brodie Tallent led the way in a good all-round team performance.

Over on the netball court our A Grade team put in a good effort but unfortunately fell short Rose Russell and Kelsey Lacey were the better players. The B Grade girls again performed well taking out a solid win Gabby Carson and Alli Slater were strong contributors The C Grade girls were in good form taking away the points Jemma Delpapa and Beth Martino played well.

The U17s dominated with a strong win Sarah Campbell and Marley Blake were in fine form. Our U15s controlled their match Zenay McCahon and Isabelle Martino were the better players on the day. The U13As put in a good effort but came up short Kate Masterson and Chloe Tippett were in good form. Whilst the U13B netballers also put together a strong performance with all players leading the way, Olivia Charry and Tyra Slater stood out.
