2018 CHFL Season - Round 7 v Clunes Wrap Up

The seniors will now take two weeks off hopefully this will provide our players the opportunity to freshen up and pull our injury list back. Last week’s match against Clunes was quiet competitive for the first half, before the guys stepped up a gear in the second half to pull away to a strong win, despite some accuracy issues in front of goal in the third quarter. Luke Prendergast (4 goals) stood out all day whilst Adam and Myles Sewell racked up possessions at will.

In the Reserves match, unavailability and injury are still taking its toll on the list. The boys tried hard all day but fell short by the narrowest of margins Stu Robinson and Jessie Eastwell stood out with Scott Cawthorn also playing well. Hopefully the list is somewhat more settled this week.

The Under 18s kept their season on track with a convincing win, having controlled the match throughout Marcus Tilley, Keith Scott and Devon Orr were strong contributors. The U15s maintained their good form with a solid win Wil Lund & Dan Mizzeni played well whilst Patty Labbett (5 Goals) worked tirelessly. The U12s were impressive taking out a fine win, with all players working extremely hard Ollie Martin, James Tippett and Liam Burt led the way in a good all-round team performance.

Over on the netball court our A Grade team put in a good effort but unfortunately fell short Kaitlyn May and Isabella Dwyer were the better players. The B Grade girls again performed well taking out a solid win Kristina Clohesy and Talia Slater were strong contributors The C Grade girls were in good form taking away the points Kayla Pomery and Hannah Rowe played well.

The U17s dominated with a strong win Isabella Dwyer and Ashley McKay were in fine form. Our U15s controlled their match Peyton McMillan and Grace Charry were the better players on the day. The U13As put in a good effort but came up short Abbey Fishlock and Taisha Newton were in good form. Whilst the U13B netballers also put together a strong performance with all players leading the way, Caitlyn Sandwith and Annabella Miller stood out.
