AROUND THE GROUND

2018 CHFL Season - Round 13 v Gordon Wrap Up

Today our seniors take the trip to Buninyong where we will be looking to get back on the winners list.

Last weeks match against Gordon saw the guys struggle against an opposition that was in great form. After a competitive first quarter, the boys were unable to maintain sufficient score board pressure through the second and third quarters. Michael Bowden led from the front whilst Dylan Fishwick and Dylan McLachlan were also good contributors.

The Reserves match the guys struggled towards the latter part of the game suffering a disappointing loss Best players were Stu Robinson Damien Tabdovic & Andy McKay.

The Under 18s kept their season on track with a good win. Jack Sampi, Lachy Opie and, Seamus Murphy were strong contributors. The U15s put in a terrific effort but struggled to get goals on the board. Patti Labbett, Will Martin, Wil Lund and Josh Rofe worked tirelessly. The U12s were impressive in a very tight match, with all players working extremely hard James Tippett, Jacob Rae and Josh Rofe led the way in a good all-round team performance.

Over on the netball court, our senior girls had a bit of a mixed day. Our A Grade side worked hard but were unable to take the points Rose Russell played well as did Shannon Lacey. The B Grade girls got back on track with a good win. Courtney Righetti and Nicole Hammond were the best players. The C Grade girls played well taking out a convincing win Freya Maude and Annie Harris played well.

The U17s went down in a tight competitive match Maggie Russell and Georgia Martino were in fine form. Our U15s dominated Kenzie Mahar and Grace Charry being the better players on the day. The U13As had a loss but really worked hard, Abbey Fishlock and Kate Masterson were in good form. Whilst the U13B netballers also put together a strong performance with all players leading the way, Mabel Barrett and Annabella Miller stood out.

Tonight its back to the Western for drinks and a meal make sure you make the effort to support what should be a great night.
