2017 Senior Football Coaches Announced

The Newlyn Football Netball Club is excited to announce our senior football coaching group for season 2017 – Dan Wehrung and Chris Dwyer have been appointed as joint coaches while Tom Inverarity will be an assistant coach.

Dan has shown himself to be one of the great Newlyn players since arriving in 2014. His selfless approach to football coupled with experience from his North Ballarat Roosters days put him great stead to make a successful leap into the coaching ranks.

Chris is a past Newlyn premiership player and Team of the Decade member who has had successful stints coaching our juniors and assisting on the seniors bench over the last 2 years. His knowledge of the league and our players will compliment Dan’s on field role.

Tom comes back to the club after his injury-forced retirement 2 years ago. Tom was an accomplished senior player playing in a premiership with Laharum and has also had past experience coaching our juniors, he will add tremendously to the team.

The club is very fortunate to have such quality coaches within our own ranks and we wish them all the best for the season ahead.
