Round 14 v Buninyong Wrap Up

Today we travel to Ballan. Hopefully we can get some wins on the board in both footy and netball.

Last week was always going to be a tough day for our seniors. The guys put in a resolute effort for the first three quarters but unfortunately once gain fell away in the last quarter to suffer a heavy loss Dan Wehrung competed hard all day whilst Nathan Hura, Joel Willmott and Luke Prendergast worked hard. The guys will be looking to regain some respect with this week’s performance.

Our reserves had a real crack and pushed their opponents all day Jessie Eastwell, Jake Wren and Scott Cawthorn stood out. The under 18s went down but remain in touch with the eight Brad Wills continued his good form getting good support from Tom May, Lachie Opie and Gilmore Congratulations to Patrick Parr on playing his 150th game. The U15s put in a good performance in their match unfortunately they missed the points. Jack Sampi worked tirelessly whilst Tyler Casssells, Trent Corboy and Alex Rofe played well. The U12s tried hard with all players working extremely hard Biley Dilge, Charlie Merecki Wallace and Masin Erbody led the way in a good all round team performance.

Over on the netball court our A Grade team put in a good performance but came up short to miss out on the points Stacey Casella and Olivia Prendergast were in great form Our B Grade girls also suffered a loss but still remain in finals contention, Emma Parr and Kiah McCahon were the better players The C Grade girls put in a good effort but also missed the points Allie Slater and Annie Harris played great games.

The U17s had a hiccup in their run of form losing by quite a margin Maggie Russell and Freya Maude played strong games. Our U15s tried hard but fell short Bella Prendergast, Montana McMillan and Grace Charry played well. The U13s played well but found the going tough Tia Frith and Ruby Hurst, played great games. Our U13B netballers also put together a strong performance with Jorja Tallent,Taylah Oswin and Abby Fishlock leading the way well done girls.

The club is holding a Goods and Services auction tomorrow and will be looking to our broader membership for support as this is a major fundraiser for the club.

Tonight its back to the Park for tea and drinks please make the effort to support a major sponsor
