Coaches for the 2010 season…
Senior Coach- Shaun Smith
Shaun has taken up the 2010 senior coaching position, after having been the assistant coach last year. Shaun’s last coaching position was at Taylors Lakes in 2008. He is a former AFL player, making his débute into the Australian Football League in 1987 with the Kangaroos. Shaun is well known for the mark that was taken in 1995, over Garry Lyon in the goal square and it was this mark that went on to win the Mark of the Year.
Reserves Coach- Steve Wilson
Steve has been around Newlyn for several years now, and last year was a big help with senior coaching. Steve has been keen to take on the role of reserve coach this year.
Under 18- Craig Slater/ Ashleigh Davidson
Craig took on the coaching of the Under 18’s last year and will continue this year with the help of Ashleigh Davidson. Ash has previously coached our senior team in 2007 and is returning to Newlyn after a year away.
Under 15- John Willmott
John coached the Under 15’s last year and will continue in this role for 2010.
Under 12 and Vic kick Ash Labbett
Ash will continue working with the young boys in Under 12.
